Introduction + Design

The Amanecer Costero Shawlette features a combination of Stockinette st and a modified Feather and Fan st, that reminds me of the amazing reflection of the sun in the sea, the peacefulness and just the day that is beginning.

The first and last 2 sts create a garter stitch edge, set off by YOs at each end. The lace motifs are placed symmetrically around an elongated central knit stitch, which is emphasized by paired increases. YO increases are placed at each end on both wrong and right sides, after the garter stitch edging.

A one-skein wonder!

This is a top-down winged triangular shawl, and a one-skein wonder, so you will knit it pretty fast, and won´t spend a lot of money!

Simplicity is EVERYTHING!

To create this gorgeous shawlette you only need to know how to do two kinds of increases, one decrease, and the yarn over, besides the classic Stockinette st. It doesn’t get easier than that when you’re trying to create lace fabric!
