The Fall/Winter Bundle

I’m so excited to present the Kate Barrios Desings’ first Fall/Winter Bundle! You’ll get six of my best seller patterns from this time of the year, with different levels of difficulty (from advanced beginner to intermediate) so you can practice your knitting skills and create beautiful garments, accessories, and home decor items in the process.

The Fall/Winter Bundle includes the following patterns:

  • The Chubasco Shawl

  • The Chubasco Blanket

  • The Crisantemo Beret

  • The Chubasco Sweater

  • The Amapola Sweater

  • The Medianoche Sweater

These patterns will ensure you spend Fall/Winter wrapped up in coziness (and if you’re already planning for Christmas presents, the Crisantemo Beret is a great choice!)!

The regular price if you were to buy all the patterns separately would be of $48 USD, but in the Bundle you will only pay $30 USD. That’s $18 USD off.

You can buy the Fall/Winter Bundle on Ravelry or Etsy. If you get it in Ravelry, you just need to add all the 6 patterns to your cart, no coupon needed, or just click here to do it automatically! If you already purchased one or various of these patterns, that counts towards the promotion.

Or you can get the Fall/Winter Bundle on Etsy, also by adding the 6 patterns on your cart and using the coupon FALLWINTERBUNDLE. Unfortunately, if you have bought one or various patterns of the bundle in Etsy, it won’t count towards the promotion in either Etsy or Ravelry.

You can find out more about the patterns included in the bundle by continue reading below, or go and buy it here for Ravelry and here for Etsy.

The Chubasco Shawl

The Chubasco Shawl is inspired by unusual symmetry, in this case by the unexpectedness of shower rains, how the sky is clear one moment, and the other, the skies are falling and everything is chaos. By combining the intricate Crossed Loops stitch with its asymmetrical shape, the Chubasco Shawl is and unexpected challenge to knit, but so rewarding.

The Chubasco Shawl features an asymmetrical shape, worked from the shortest side to the opposite corner.

I’m not gonna lie, the stitch pattern used for this pattern is not particularly easy. You’ll definitely have to pay attention to your stitches, specially on the Right Side rows, where most of the action happens. HOWEVER. The stitch pattern is so beautiful and detailed! It’s completely worth the effort. Plus, once you have a few row repeats under your belt you probably won’t need to check the pattern!

The Chubasco Blanket

The Chubasco Blanket is the sister blanket to the Chubasco Sweater and the Chubasco Shawl, and as they do, it features the Crossed Loops St. This time, I’ve manipulated the stitch pattern to make it into a Chevron Motif, making it a very fun and classic design.  The Crossed Loops St evokes the unexpectedness of Spring rain, and making it into a blanket to cozy up in a coldish Spring evening just… closes the circle.

The Chubasco Blanket is worked bottom up, in the Crossed Loops St in Chevron motif, with bottom, upper and side edges in Seed St.

The Crisantemo Beret

The Crisantemo Beret (Chrysanthemum in English) borrows from its namesake the way it blooms in Autumn.  It’s also easy to keep, just as this beret is easy to make! The shape of the flower itself is made with bobbles, which makes a lovely texture.

If you're just getting the hang to knitting in the round, the Crisantemo Beret is the ideal project to work on. It’s a short and small project, so your hands will have an easier time using the dpns. Plus, if you're a bobble lover you're gonna love it! It's great how easy it is to create patterns with them, and how much texture the fabric gets! Plus, since it’s only a hat, you won’t be making THAT many bobbles

The Crisantemo Beret is worked in the round from the top of the crown to the brim, increasing stitches every other round to create the circular shape, and then the stitches are decreased in the same ratio to get the brim circumference.

The Chubasco Sweater

The Chubasco Sweater is inspired by unusual symmetry, in this case by the unexpectedness of the weather, how the sky is clear one moment, and the next, the skies are falling and everything is chaos. By combining the intricate Crossed Loops stitch and the mindlessness of the Reverse Stockinette stitch, the Chubasco sweater is and unexpected delight to knit, just like that unexpected rain on a clear Spring day.

The Chubasco sweater features a hi low, standard-fitting, drop shoulder  silhouette, with straight sleeves and  a mock turtle neck. It’s worked flat in 4 pieces (front, back and sleeves)  bottom-up, and is then seamed  together. After the back and front  are joined, stitches are picked to  create the turtle neck.

This pattern includes instructions  for waist, hip and tunic lengths for  both the front and back pieces, so you can combine them as you  prefer.

The Amapola Sweater

Do you wanna learn to knit top down sweaters? This is the perfect opportunity to do it! You will practice a few kinds of increases, but besides that, it’s all Stockinette Stitch, with easy to follow instructions on how to work the raglan shaping, and how to join the body. Plus, there’s no seaming at all, so you’ll be able to wear your garment much faster!

You’ll be working with mohair using different needle sizes and holding both one and three strands together, which will give you two completely different textures: one, incredibly light and etheral, and the other, cozy and warm.

This pattern is graded to fit chest sizes from 30 to 62 in, and it has an oversized fit. It’s perfect to combine with skinny jeans or leggings, and the deep V-neck on the back will make evyone feel super sexy and comfortable at the same time.

The Medianoche Sweater

The Medianoche Sweater is a top down circular yoke in the round, worked in the most delicious cashmere by Ula+Lia. It features a mock turtle neck and beautiful (fake 😝) cables with Reverse Stockinette stitch in the background! It’s cozy, and you can wear it with leggings or boyfriend jeans. It’s that versatile!

Remember!
